PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PARTS ARE SOLD “AS IS”, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, GUARANTEE OR REPRESENTATION EXCEPT AS SET OUT BELOW. IN PARTICULAR, WHILE THE PARTS WE SELL ARE ORIGINAL (OEM) PARTS, MOST ARE SECOND HAND (USED) PARTS TAKEN FROM A VEHICLE THAT HAS BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PARTS ARE WITHOUT DEFECT, IN WORKING CONDITION OR FIT FOR PURPOSE. NO VERBAL REPRESENTATION, WHICH IS NOT DETAILED BELOW OR WHICH IS INCONSISTENT WITH WHAT IS SET OUT BELOW, SHALL BE BINDING UPON US
ENGINES / GEARBOXES / DIFFERENTIALS – USED
We offer a Fitment Start-Up Warranty on our engines / gearboxes / differentials, strictly on the terms detailed below.
Fitment Start-Up Warranty for used engines, gearboxes and/or differential
- Engine / gearbox / differential must be fitted and tested within 3 days after purchase, unless authorised in writing by N2 4×4 Bakkie Spares management at the time of purchase.
- After engine is fitted, all critical checks must be done prior to start up, including checking / adding required fluids. This Fitment Start-Up warranty will be invalidated if there is a failure to conduct critical checks and add fluids prior to start up.
- Start engine and take vehicle for a test drive after start up. If any fault is noted, including bearing knock, smoking, noise in the block or head, proof of such fault (including video) must be communicated to our sales team in writing immediately.
- The engine / gearbox / differential may not be opened/altered for any reason whatsoever, unless prior written authorization is obtained from N2 4×4 Bakkie Spares management. This Fitment Start-Up warranty will be invalidated if the engine / gearbox / differential is opened without aforesaid prior authorisation.
- The defective engine / gearbox / differential must be returned to us un-opened, together with our original invoice, within 3 days from purchase. We will not accept any engine / gearbox / differential which has been opened/altered, or for which an original invoice cannot be provided, or which is returned after such period.
- Once the defective engine / gearbox / differential has been returned to us, we reserve the right to hold same for a 7-day inspection and testing period. If we are satisfied that there has been compliance with the terms of this Fitment Start-Up Warranty and there has been no negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the client, we will at our election either repair the engine / gearbox / differential, or replace engine / gearbox / differential with the same engine / gearbox / differential. If no replacement unit is available, we will refund the purchase price by way of electronic funds transfer to a banking account nominated in writing by the client.
- With regard to differentials, we are not responsible to confirm or verify the differential ratio of the differential supplied to the client and it is the client’s responsibility to ensure his requirements and specifications are correct.
- This Fitment Start-Up Warranty is subject to the limitations detailed below.
- This Fitment Start-Up Warranty does not cover and we will not be liable for oil leaks and/or any accessories and/or parts supplied with an engine / gearbox / differential (such as but not limited to manifolds, carburetor, distributor, alternator, starter, water pump, injectors, thermostat, clutch, flywheel, timing belt of belt driven engines, seals, sensors, cables, linkages).
PARTS – GENERAL
- Parts must be fitted and tested within 3 days after purchase, unless authorised in writing by N2 4×4 Bakkie Spares management at the time of purchase.
- After a part is fitted and a fault is noted, proof of such fault (including video, where appropriate) must be communicated to our sales team in writing immediately.
- The part may not be opened/altered for any reason whatsoever, unless prior written authorization is obtained from N2 4×4 Bakkie Spares management.
- The defective part must be returned to us un-opened, together with our original invoice, within 3 days from purchase. We will not accept any part which has been opened/altered, or for which an original invoice cannot be provided, or which is returned after such period.
- Once the defective part has been returned to us, we reserve the right to inspect it. If we are satisfied that there has been compliance with these terms and conditions and there has been no negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the client, we will at our election either repair the part, or replace the part with the same part. If no replacement unit is available, we will refund the purchase price by way of electronic funds transfer to a banking account nominated in writing by the client.
LIMITATIONS
- We will not be liable to, and will not, repair or replace any engine / gearbox / differential / part where such repair or replacement is necessary due to accident, misuse, collision, fire, negligence, alteration / modification / repair, racing events or improper installation.
- No warranty on a vehicle with software tune ups.
- We will not be liable, and will not pay, for any:
- oil leaks, blown head gaskets and/or overheating for any reason whatsoever, including due to poor cooling system;
- bent valves, lock up or backfire for any reason whatsoever, including due to broken timing belt or wring timing set;
- internal damage caused by dropping obstacles into the combustion chamber.
- We do not provide any exchange or refund on electrical components unless authorised in writing by N2 4×4 Bakkie Spares management at the time of purchase (which requires a recent diagnostics report identifying the source of the fault).
- We will not be liable for, and will not pay, any consequential or special damages, labor costs, courier costs, towing costs, vehicle hire, downtime, bank charges and/or any other any charges relating to the exchange or refund of the engine / gearbox / differential / part.
REFUNDS & EXCHANGES:
- No refund on goods correctly supplied.
- If a replacement part cannot be supplied, the refund will be effected by way of electronic funds transfer to a banking account nominated in writing by the client. No refunds will be made in cash.
